Today, Arn resides in Cambodia, where he leads cultural preservation efforts, mentors young artists, and tirelessly advocates globally for peace, memory, and the power of the arts to heal, working with many diverse communities around Cambodia


He dedicates himself to supporting elderly Cambodian musicians and artists, ensuring their invaluable practices are passed on to future generations. Arn’s work extends to Cambodian refugees, trauma survivors, and Khmer traditional musicians, with a focus on forgiveness, reconciliation, and education about the Khmer Rouge genocide. His powerful personal story continues to resonate globally, making him a sought-after public speaker who inspires and captivates audiences around the world. Arn’s unwavering commitment to cultural preservation and healing stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of the Cambodian people.

Arn now serves as the spokesperson and ambassador for Cambodian Living Arts, the organization he founded in 1998. He has shared his story in more than 100 countries, including his 2025 U.S. speaking tour where he visited 20 schools and venues and reached over 20,000 people. Through his talks, he shares his story of survival and his mission to preserve Khmer culture and promote peace through music.
Arn works with artists, students, and communities to preserve traditional Khmer music and support the next generation of Cambodian musicians. He helps elders and master artists pass down endangered traditions, organizes and teaches arts classes for youth, mentors young performers, and supports community cultural initiatives. His work keeps Cambodia’s artistic heritage alive and thriving for future generations.
